This blog is in loving memory of our beloved sister Elisabete (Betty) Handem, who sadly left this world on Friday, June 22, 2007, after a year-long battle against an aggressive form of breast cancer. Betty died in London, UK, at the early age of 43, leaving behind her husband, Celio Santos , and three adorable children: 2-year old Roxanne, 13-year old Joshua, and 19 year-old Susana. In honor of Betty, we seek to bring together friends and members of our extended family who may wish to convey their sympathies, or simply to share thoughts, happy memories and other anecdotes about Betty. You are welcome to post comments in either Portuguese or English.
